Christmas cards.  Do you still send them?  I buy them and sometimes get them sent, sometimes even before Christmas.  

But the Moda designers... of course they send Christmas cards, right?  Some do - especially those with children.  I must confess that those are my favorite because the yearly picture is a marker of just how fast they're growing.  (Seriously, some of these kids grew at least 12" in 2018.)

Jane Davidson sent pictures of a few of her favorite Christmas ornaments - these angels and the little "snow baby" above.

Laurie Simpson sent this picture of her beautiful Pieceful Journey quilt, made with Minick & Simpson's Christmas Past collection.  (Circa 2008?)

Laurie also sent a picture of this beautiful Christmas card - vintage.  

Sandy Gervais wrote... "We do not do Christmas cards so I have attached two pictures taken in our house.  They would make nice Christmas card, if we did that sort of thing.  The little door knob things - shown below - I use at each place setting on the table."

Stacy Iest Hsu wrote "Unfortunately, I am not sending out a Christmas card this year. My kids are becoming teenagers and getting them together to take a Christmas photo is impossible.  I thought it would get easier as they got older... I guess not.  lol"

Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms and Bonnie & Camille sent a beautiful picture of her family - Jarom, Canon, Camille, Nic and Aiden.  (From left to right.)  (I remember when Aiden and Canon were five and six, and starting school.)

Crystal Manning wrote "We thought it would be fun to send out a Christmas card wearing our cat sweaters, along with our beloved Piper."

Kathy Schmitz shared some of her family travels this year - with her husband Steve, and with her two grown sons.  

Linzee McCray sent this card with a note, "So grateful for family this year. There was sadness as I lost my mom, but joy in remembering all she taught me about sewing and fabric. And so glad that she got to meet her great- granddaughter and our first grandchild Freya.  "And my husband Paul keeps rocking on, playing in three bands."

"May the New Year bring you friends and family to share life’s joys and sorrows, and music to lift you up and keep you dancing! Happy holidays!" 

Lynne Hagmeier shared this sweet snowman card.  

Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique and her sweet kids, Lorenzo and Olive.  (Both have grown a lot since last year!)

Janet Clare sent this beautiful stitched bird - free-hand, free-motion machine painting-drawing.  

Betty.  She's a sweet girl but I think she's less than thrilled to be wearing the reindeer antlers.  But she loves Janet so she sits still for the picture.   

Brenda Riddle sent this lovely card, "I have two Christmas cards this year. I don’t send a lot… I’m hoping to go back to where we all send a bunch. I miss that. I couldn’t pick one - so if you only need one… I’ll make let you pick."

I like them both and couldn't pick one either.  

Barbara Groves of Me & My Sister Designs - "I don't send traditional Christmas cards to everyone anymore but I do still send cards to family and special friends.  This year, when I went to pick up a card for my mother, I decided to choose one for Mary.  Can you guess which card I'll be sending?"

Chelsi Stratton sent a picture of her beautiful family - from left to right - Ashton, Mason, Finn, Chelsi and Harper.  

She also sent one with her Mom and design partner for Sherri & Chelsi.

Debbie Maddy wrote "We did not send cards this year but I received this from a dear friend. She is a beautiful person who took the time to remember me. In these busy times we sometimes revert to the internet for a lot of our communication and forget what a joy it is to get a card in the mail.  Opening it and reading it was a treat, and we can display it on our mantel or tuck it in the tree, and read it over and over. I love this little card and my friend who sent it. I think I will get some cards and send them to our friends! It will not matter if they arrive a little late this year. Our friends won’t care."

Jenelle Kent and her sweet husband Jason - they celebrated twenty-five years of marriage on December 17.  Their daughter Georgia is 17, and their son Gareth is 19.  Janelle also wrote, "Our dog of questionable breeding is Saffy and she's 13."  (It's summer in Australia right now.)

Deb Strain wrote, "Just wanted to send my Christmas card this year.  It is my favorite because of the verse on it! All of our children are coming Home for the Holidays, so it has special meaning to all of our family."

It's perfect.  

Kate Spain sent this and wrote, "We couldn't wrangle the cats to pose for a holiday card, so we're sending this one out instead."

Robin Pickens sent quilt pictures and this, "I haven't gotten cards out for a number of years, there always seems to be so much going on at the holidays and I mean to, but it hasn't happened in awhile." 

"So if I can share something else holiday-ish, it would be the Christmas quilt that my mom made us. My mother, Ruth McCormick, said one year she wanted to make us a quilt for the holidays and asked what kind I would like. She had good reds and greens to use and of course I had to go and mess up the plan and ask for white and gray! But she rolled with it and created the most wonderful quilt with white and gray blocks and the perfect pop of Christmas colors in just a few blocks! I love it!"

"And I love the colorful mix on the back. It's my first Christmas quilt and it's made by her, so it's special for both of those reasons!"

Betsy Chutchian sent this beautiful vintage Christmas postcard - not the real card, it's a treasured keepsake.  And yes, she does send Christmas cards.

Joanna Figueroa - Fig Tree & Co. - sent two pictures.  She wrote, "Christmas cards?  I'm working on it.  I really wasn't sure I wanted to get out of bed this morning with this view.  I'm running some errands for my mom right now, and then this happened. Because certainly what I need right now is more mugs.  One guess as to where I am!"

Home Goods.  I need to know just one thing... did she get one of these seriously great mugs for me?

Finally, Anne Sutton sent this picture of these adorable snowmen ornaments.  She wrote, "I haven’t sent out cards in a long time, but for years I’ve made these simple little ornaments for friends and family."
